Our Internship and Education Program

Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres provides mental health and addiction treatment ina residential facility in Ontario, in an outpatient clinic in Toronto and on a secure virtual platform one can access in the comfort of their home.

However, Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres are also an Education Provider and champions of mentoring, training and a teaching facility. Being a student focused centre, our Student Internship Program makes us a premier provider for many of Ontario Colleges and Universities. At Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres, we don’t just treat but we educate.

What is Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres Internship Program?

The Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres Internship Program introduces students to the important role we play in helping facilitate change in the people we care for.

Interns gain practical experience through projects, special assignments, observe and co-facilitate individual and/or group counselling and workshops, engage in assessment, advocacy, outreach, documentation, evaluation, referrals, or research that support improved and advances in treating concurrent disorders and substance abuse, policies, and best practices in the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and mental illness.

Residential Addiction Treatment

Trafalgar Residential Facility is a private addiction rehab centre just located outside of Guelph, Ontario.
It offers intensive, evidence-based treatment programs for substance and behavioural addictions in conjunction with mental health issues.

Outpatient Addiction Counselling

Outpatient Counselling Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
It offers an innovative and affordable recovery program for those seeking an alternative to residential treatment.

Virtual Addiction Treatment

Virtual Addiction Treatment offers you a comprehensive program through a secure network in the comfort at your home.

Internship Opportunities

Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres are committed to the training, mentoring, and supervision of students from a variety of academic programs. These include, social work (MSW & BSW), social service worker (SSW), addiction counselling (CCAC, ICADC), nurses (RN and RPN) and medical students (MD).

I was drawn to Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres for its holistic viewpoint on addiction treatment. Throughout my 4-month placement, I was given the opportunity to participate in, and co-facilitate many psycho-educational groups. In addition, the Clinical Team at Trafalgar East are passionate, empathetic and were extremely supportive throughout my time as a student. Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres Education Provider

Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centre is also an approved education provider with Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation.

Courses for seasoned clinicians and students alike will be offered throughout the year in an effort provide education for certification and re-certification for addiction counsellors. Courses will be offered on an ongoing basis. Please check back often for updates.
